What Wildflower is That?
Blombery, Alexander Morris

It is commonly thought that each type of Australian Wildflower is widely distributed throughout the continent. Although there are some types of plants which have a wide distribution, the majority of plants are most particular in their requirements and are usually restricted to special conditions and, in some cases, to very limited areas. Where there are similar conditions for plant growth such as moisture availability, climate, nature of soil and topography, it is usual to find similar forms of plant growth in widely separated areas, although there may be a difference in the particular species of plant.
