Beautiful Island on the Pacific

For many years, our people have known that the ocean has limitless energy. Thus in both our daily lives and our culture, we respect and fear the majesty of the ocean. During every lunar New Year, the residents of Penghu Island offer up turtles made of rice and flour to the Gods. These turtles are regarded as lucky charms that will bring year long fortune to the fishermen battling angry waves to earn a living. Through their solemn rites, we are reminded that the fates of man and ocean are intertwined and that our strength comes from the ocean.

This video shows the different types of corals found in Tonga, dead coral from coral bleaching, and footage of mangrove areas (togo). An elderly man narrates a story although subject is unknown.

Kosrae : Jewel of Micronesia

A twenty minute promotional video for the Tourist Industry in Kosrae. It provides information on the weather, the environment, cultural history of Kosraeans, and general information on the people and their unique day to day living. It also documents remnants of past cultural societies and those of World War 11.

This video attempts to raise awareness amongst Niueans about the effects of migration, the need to preserve its culture, and the importance of balancing development with environmental concerns to escape future environmental adversities.

Isabel Sustainable Forestry Management Project

This Eco-Forestry video was made for the Sustainable Management Project with the theme; "The Forest Belongs to Every Generation : Look After It". It outlines steps that communities need to take in the areas of decision making for the sustainable use of their Forests. It also addresses steps communities need to consider in order to protect forests. In addition, it gives a description of the different types of timber trees found in the forest such as the white beech, pencil cedar, and choba.

The Modern Commonwealth

The Commonwealth is a voluntary association of 54 sovereign nations around the world. From Africa to India, from the Pacific shores to the Carribean, it's 1.7billion people make up 30% of the world's population and account for 25% of global trade. They belong to many ethnic groups, religions and cultures in both developing and developed countries. The Commonwealth is an informal network. At its centre is the Commonwealth Secretariat, an intergovernmental body. There are also more than 80 non-governmental organisations and professional groups which link people at all levels. Some of its Keywork Programmes are Strengthening Democracy, Promoting Gender Equality, Private Sector Development and Youth Empowerment. The significance and relevance of the Commonwealth continues to grow as it helps developing states with the provision of technical and financial support.
