This audio programme features, Solomon islands ambassador to the United Nations Rex Heroy, led his delegations to 6 European countries in order to lobby for further commitments on reducing Greenhouse gases emissions. Greenhouse gases such as methane and carbondioxide are gases that has the potential to cause global warming and sealevel rise and be already causing climate change. The Australian Conservation foundation, one of Australia's largest environment group held a press conference to call for more actions by industralised countries on greenhouse gas emissions also launched a review of industralised country GHGs action plans on GHGs being prepared by a network of international environmental organisations. A review which showcases that Australia and most OECD countries only have taken tentative steps in response to global climate change.
