One World:Forest Policies in Papua New Guinea/Regional Ban Proposal-Movement of Toxic & Hazardous Waste/Global Conference on Sustainable Development on Small Island States
Dr. Brian Brunton of ICRAF (International Community Rights Advocacy Forum), gives an analysis on the latest development on forest policies in Papua New Guinea, explaining some of the implications these policies will have on the forests and the people of PNG. Lelei Lelalu (Coordinator for the United Nations Global Conference on sustainable development of Small Islands), and Samoan Ambassador Tuiloma Neroni Slade, give their opinion on the importance of this global Conference. Mr. Michael Maui (Director General of the Multi-Lateral Division of Foreign Affairs Department of PNG), explains why a regional convention could work well alongside the Basel Convention on toxic and hazardous waste.
