The Report highlights recent successes in the area of climate services including the roles National Climate Outlook forums have had in building stronger relationships between the users of climate services and our National Meteorological Services, while Regional Climate Outlook forums have contributed much to building stronger collaborations among services users and climatologists across the Pacific.

Ocean Outlook, fortnight to 27 June: • Sea surface temperature (SST) forecasts more than 0.8°C above-normal are favoured in the following country Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZs): northern CNMI, eastern Guam, northern RMI, PNG, western and central Solomon Is., Vanuatu, New Caledonia, central and southern Fiji, central and western Tonga, patches of southern French Polynesia, and central and southern Pitcairn Is. SST anomalies above 1.2°C are favoured in eastern PNG, most of New Caledonia, southern Fiji and southern Tonga. Elsewhere, SSTs are predicted to be near-normal.

Ocean Outlook, fortnight to 20 June: • Sea surface temperature (SST) forecasts more than 0.8°C above-normal are favoured in the following country Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZs): northern CNMI, northern RMI, most of PNG, western Solomon Is., most of Vanuatu, New Caledonia, central and southern Fiji, central and western Tonga, patches of southern French Polynesia, and central Pitcairn Islands. SST anomalies above 1.2°C are favoured in eastern PNG and New Caledonia. Elsewhere, SSTs are predicted to be near-normal.

Ocean Outlook, fortnight to 13 June: • Sea surface temperature (SST) forecasts more than 0.8°C above-normal are favoured in the following country Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZs): CNMI, Palau, western Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), eastern and northern Papua New Guinea (PNG), west Solomon Islands, western Vanuatu, and New Caledonia, as well as northwestern and eastern French Polynesia, and Pitcairn Islands. SST anomalies above 1.2°C are favoured in small areas in New Caledonia. Elsewhere, SSTs are predicted to be near-normal.

Ocean Outlook, fortnight to 6 June: • Sea surface temperature (SST) forecasts more than 0.8°C above-normal are favoured in the following country EEZs: northern CNMI, Palau, southwest parts of FSM, eastern and northern PNG, western and central Solomon Is, southern and northern edge of Vanuatu, and New Caledonia. SST anomalies above 1.2°C are favoured in small area in southeast New Caledonia. Elsewhere, SSTs are predicted to be near-normal.

The El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and Indian Ocean Dipole are neutral. Bureau's model predicts neutral ENSO (neither El Niño nor La Niña) until at least September. This is consistent with forecasts from a range of international models. However, skill for ENSO forecasts at this time of the year has historically been low beyond winter.

For May to July 2025 the models agree that above normal rainfall is likely or very likely for Pa-lau, southwest FSM, and northern CNMI in the northern hemisphere. Another band stretches from southeastern PNG, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga, Niue, Wallis and Futuna, Samoa, southern American Samoa, southern Cook Islands, and central French Polynesia. The models agree that below normal rainfall is likely or very likely for northern FSM, RMI, and northeast French Polynesia.

SST anomalies above 1.2°C are favoured in eastern New Caledonia, far south-western Vanuatu and far southern Fiji. Elsewhere, SSTs are predicted to be near-normal.

Ocean Outlook, fortnight to 23 May: • Sea surface temperature (SST) forecasts more than 0.8°C above-normal are favoured in the following country EEZs: northern CNMI, central and eastern PNG, western and southern Solomon Is., Vanuatu, most of New Caledonia, most of Fiji, parts of southern Tonga. SST anomalies above 1.2°C are favoured in far northern CNMI, far eastern New Caledonia, far south-western Vanuatu and far southern Fiji. Elsewhere, SSTs are predicted to be near-normal.
