The marine turtle specialist groups regional reporting initiative aims to gather information from all regional management units (RMUs) updating on the current status and knowledge for all sea turtle populations

For the purpose pf this report the Oceania Region was Organized by the regional vice chairs to contain 25 chapters conspiring 15 Sea turtle Regional Management Unit

Seven countries contribute to this MTSG regional reeport which presents known details about 11 sea turtle Regional Management Units (RMU) in the Middle East (ME) and South Asia(SA). Additional information for RMU's in the region can be obtained from relevant publications and reports on sea turtle populations.

Sea turtles nesting areas should be protected and keep safe guard so that the sea turtle populations will increase in the future.

This report presents known information about 11 sea turtle Regional management Units (RMU) in the Middle East (ME) and South Asia (SA) in which information about Erettmochelyis imbricata in the South West Indian Ocean is new since 2018 report

Important in-water habitats such as migratory corridors of post nesting green turtle and foraging grounds were found in japan, Republic of Korea and South China region, where Hong Kong is located.

Five turtle species from seven regional management units (RMUs) inhabit the waters of 12 different countries in the East Pacific (EP) Ocean region.

Protection and conservation are the utter most important part in conserving the marine turtles. Protecting their nesting areas should be a priority for local people as this will increase the populations of marine turtles.

Countries included in this report are French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mexico, St Eustach St Pierre et Miquelon. It is our hope that more countries will be interested in participating in this initiative.
