Under the guidance of Presidential Task Force on environmental Management and Sustainable Develop- ment, with the invaluable assistance of the South Pacific Regiona. Environmental Program with the gen- erous financial backing of the Asian Development Bank, with the further assistance of. the Australian Government, and with participation from Nationaland State government agencies, organizations and legislatures and. the private sector, the first Nationwide Environmental Strategies for the Federated States of Micronesia (MEMS) has been completed.
