The purpose of this book is to make suggestions to Parties on the possible contents of their legislation to implement CITES. In addition, this book does not aim to be a comprehensive review of all laws enacted to implement CITES. References made to provisions contained in national legislation are examples to assist in legislative drafting and do not imply that similar or related provisions do not appear in the laws of other parties.
