The Financial Projection Mechanism builds upon the Rapid Climate Risk Assessment Framework (RCRAF) developed earlier in this assessment. The mechanism uses the elements at risk identified in the tourism case study, to provide an indication of how investment into climate change adaption and resilience should be prioritised over time. This has been built in close alignment with the Republic of Vanuatu's National Adaptation Programme for Action (NAPA).

This report details the training provided in May 2024 to the Vanuatu Department of Tourism and key government stakeholders on the application and use of the Rapid Climate Risk Assessment Framework and Excel Tool, using the Guidance Note.

It is important to note that communication, consultation, monitoring, evaluation and review are included at every step. This is part of an underpinning co-design and co-productions approach to climate action between climate science and service providers, sectoral end-used, local communities,non-governmental organisations (NGO) and other climate actors where appropriate.
