The purpose for “Nafa” to provide useful information on how the Pacific Climate Change Centre contributes to “Catalyze Climate Action and Investment in the Pacific”.

Ocean Outlook, fortnight to 7 March: • Sea surface temperature (SST) forecasts more than 0.8°Cabove normal are favoured in the following country EEZs: Palau, Guam, CNMI, most of FSM, far northern RMI, most of PNG, northwestern Solomon Is., and southeastern French Polynesia. SST anomalies above 1.2°C are favoured in southern Palau, northwestern PNG, and southern French Polynesia. Forecasts more than -0.8°Cbelow normal SSTs are favoured in parts of Gilbert Is. (Kiribati). Elsewhere SSTs are predicted to be near-normal.

SST anomalies above 1.2°C are favoured in southern Palau, central CNMI, northern PNG, and southern French Polynesia. Below normal SSTs are favoured in parts of Nauru, and Kiribati. Elsewhere SSTs are predicted to be near-normal.

SST anomalies above 1.2°C are favoured in southern Palau, central CNMI, parts of PNG, southern French Polynesia, and Pitcairn Is.. Below normal SSTs are favoured in parts of Nauru, Kiribati. Elsewhere SSTs are predicted to be near-normal.

SST anomalies above 1.2°C are favoured in Palau, central CNMI, southwestern FSM, parts of PNG, and southern French Polynesia. Below normal SSTs are favoured in parts of Kiribati. Elsewhere SSTs are predicted to be near-normal.

“The Nafa”. As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on a year filled with significant events – challenging, yet ultimately rewarding. The experiences and opportunities we encountered this year will significantly shape our future work in serving the Pacific community.

PACRES aims to enhance regional and national adaptation and mitigation solutions to address climate change challenges faced by 15 Pacific ACP countries

A project which exists to improve regional national adaptation and mitigation solutions to climate change in 15 Pacific countries has provided critical assistance to the tiny island of Tuvalu to battle climate crisis.

Lasting impressions this quarter were about reflecting on our expectations a year ago and lessons gained since then. Thirty nationals from ten countries have since met to share practical experiences and insight on topical matters centred on tracking impact of adaptation in the Pacific.
