The Magiagi leaders, Pulega a Alii ma faipule wishes to dedicate a part of their land to establish a Rainforest Conservation Area (RCA). Both Samoa and American Samoa have relatively diverse shark and ray communities with management plans in place to protect chondrichthyans. These include participation in Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission initiatives, spatial protections, and community-based management programs. Implications. This paper is a further contribution to the naturalised flora of Tonga in documenting 19 species newly recognised from the archipelago. These 19 species are treated as the single broad category of naturalised whereby they form a wild population(s) self-maintained by seed or vegetative reproduction (following Webb et al. 1988).

Recent field surveys of the flora of Niue have identified three new species records for the island. Erigeron bellioides DC. (Asteraceae) and Psidium cattleyanum Sabine (Myrtaceae) are new naturalised records and Crepidomanes saxifragoides (C.Presl) P.S.Green (Hymenophyllaceae) is an addition to the indigenous flora.

A review of existing guidelines and current practices is a supporting document to the Responsible Marine Wildlife Viewing Guidelines). Le plan de Biosécurité des îlots de Wallis pose les standards par lesquels les risques de réintroductions de rongeurs ou d’introduction de nouvelles espèces seront minimisés. Il tend à atteindre ce standard de protection pour Wallis via des mesures volontaires ou rendues obligatoires sur le territoire. Les mesures permettant de viser ces standards sont présentées dans ce plan et les rôles et responsabilités y sont identifiés. L’acceptation et l’approbation de ce plan sont portés par le Service Territorial de l’Environnement de Wallis en consultation étroite avec la population locale.

En 2024, le territoire de Wallis et Futuna a créé sa liste préventive des espèces envahissantes qui répertorie les espèces envahissantes absentes du Territoire mais présentes dans la région et dont il souhaite se préserver. Cette liste compte 123 espèces (60 plantes et 63 animaux) dont l'importation est interdite, et classe les espèces en fonction de leur niveau de risque. Cette vidéo de sensibilisation présente des recommandations relatives aux espèces figurant sur la liste préventive, à destination du grand public.
