This document is a management plan for the conservation of the natural resources and biodiversity of the Malololelei Community Conservation Area (CA) for the period 2024-2025 (10 years). The management plan is a living document that will evolve and improve through learning from implementation.

Vanuatu is a proudly agricultural nation, producing high-quality crop livestock, marine and forestry products that are exported around the world.

Samoa's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) covers 120,00 square kilometers of ocean, which is 40 times larger than the country's land area. The economy is highly dependent on the stock of its natural ocean wealth which supports its fisheries, tourism and coastal community livelihoods.

This study, conducted in early 2022, aimed to determine the economic value of seven marine and coastal ecosystem services in Samoa. The assessment focuses on the value of ecosystem services in the year 2019 and provides information on trends overtime where possible.

Samoa 2040 sets Samoa's agenda for economic growth and development over the next 20 years. It identifies a set of potentially transformational opportunities that have the potential to boost incomes, employment and standards of living in Samoa over the longer-term. The Samoa 2040 approach suggests that reform and investment efforts need to be carefully targeted at unlocking opportunities for income growth that have the highest potential given Samoa's unique circumstances. These opportunities lie in four broad focus areas: tourism agriculture and fishing the development of a digital economy and labour mobility. By providing a roadmap to take advantage of these opportunities which will raise economic growth create employment opportunities and generate government revenues - Samoa 2040 aims to ensure that all Samoans have the means and opportunity to pursue a better life and that no one is left behind.

The Environment sector is one of 14 sectors established by the Government of Samoa to coordinate the implementation of its national development agenda. The sector is responsible for coordinating efforts towards the realisation of Key Outcome 13and 14 on "enhanced environmental sustainability and climate disaster resilience" in the strategy for the development of Samoa (SDS). These efforts are defined in the National Environment Sector Plan (NESP) 2017-2021 under four key thematic areas involving natural resources and environment, built environment, climate change and disaster risk management and environmental governance
