On the 4th of November 2025, we celebrated the 5th year anniversary of the Pacific Climate Change Centre. This milestone is not just a marker of time but a testament to the vision of the PCCC “Catalyzing Climate Action and Investment in the Pacific”, dedication, and partnership that have brought us this far. Together, we have built a hub where ideas flourish, challenges are embraced, and solutions are crafted for building resilience of our Pacific community.

The Pacific Climate Change Centre (PCCC) is a Centre of Excellence for a Climate Resilient Pacific through brokering of knowledge, science to services and applied research, capacity building and innovation. PCCC is hosted at SPREP and belong to our Pacific people.

The "Pacific Climate Change Centre (PCCC) Partners Dialogue on Long Term Sustainability Plan for Building a Climate Resilient Pacific" was successfully held on March 12-13 2025 at the PCCC in Vailima, Samoa. The Dialogue brought together government officials, representatives from donor partners, private sector, civil society organisations, youth representatives, regional organisation, international financial institutions, academic institutions ad other stakeholders to not only embrace the journey of the PCCC since 2019 but also discuss the PCCC's long-term sustainability and predictable financial support. This event marked the first Partners Dialogue as a biennial coordination mechanism to support the PCCC's mission and vision fostering long term resilience sustainability.

This webinar is convened by the Pacific Climate Change Centre (PCCC) the ISCCR project, and the Pacific Community (SPC) through the Pacific Climate Change Innovation lounge, as part of the PCCC's ongoing webinar series. THe session explores the transformative potential of Earth Observation (EO) technologies, including satellite data, in supporting climate change resilience across Pacific Island Countries (PICs). It brings together experts and practitioners to discuss how EO tools can inform decision-making, strengthen partnership, and enhanced climate change adaptation strategies tailored to the unique challenges of the Pacific region.

The Moana Blue Pacific Pavilion at COP30 will host various events, predominantly initiated by Pacific Island stakeholders including those from Pacific Island governments, private sector and the Council of Regional Organisations of the Pacific as well as the New Zealand government and Australian Government and other partners.

The Inaugural webinar of the Pacific Climate Change Innovation Lounge explores strategies to keep the Paris Agreement's 1.5°C goal alive and the role of the New Collective Quantified Coal (NCQG) on climate finance in addressing the unique vulnerabilities of Pacific Small Island Developing States (PSIDS). The session highlights the scientific basis for the 1.5°C limit, regional advocacy, climate justice and innovative finance pathways
