This book highlights indigenous weather and climate forecasting knowledge in ni-Vanuatu. This knowledge is documented and shared so that it can be used effectively in disaster risk reduction particularly in remote an less accessible and less accessible regions of Vanuatu as well as providing national cultural resource.

Organic material is biodegradable matter such as kitchen scraps (food): garden cuttings, grass and branches and paper. Combined data from 13 waste audits in the Pacific found that approximately 40% of waste disposal to our landfills and dumps is organics.
