Preliminary Environmental Assessment of 6 Development Projects on Vaitupu, Tuvalu (Fish ponds, crossings and dredging)

This report describes the results of an assessment of six development projects planned for Vaitupu. The assessment was preliminary in nature and was undertaken by the Tuvalu Environment Unit in the period 25-28th September 1999 to examine feasibility of each of the projects. It is expected that a full EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) will need to accompany each project during its formal planning phase.
