The 6th Oceania Regional Meeting was held at the Tanoa International hotel in Nadi, Fiji from 18th to 20th August 2014. The meeting was co-organized by SPREP and the Ramsar Convention Secretariat and hosted by the Government of Fiji. Funding assistance for the meeting was provided by the Government of Australia and from the Ramsar Convention Secretariat, through voluntary contributions.

This National Report Format (NRF) has been approved by the Standing Committee in Decision SC41-24 for the Ramsar Convention's Contracting Parties to complete as their national reporting to the 11th meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties of the Convention (Bucharest, Romania, June 2012).

Promote and encourage the use of standard wetland inventory methodologies following the Ramsar Framework for Wetland Inventory (Resolution VIII.6), to undertake, update and disseminate national (or, where appropriate, provincial) scientific inventories of wetlands.
