The Australian Institute of Marine Science has in place a long term monitoring program which is designed to monitor fish, coral and the crown of thorns starfish population, as well as water quality, through the Great Barrier Reef. This video describes the development and function of the Long-Term Monitoring program at AIMS. It provides excellent detail about the design of the program and the various monitoring techniques used by the AIMS monitoring team.
