Uafato conservation area project Samoa: project preparation document SPBCP (PPD)

Abstract

This report is the Project Preparation Document for the proposed Uafato Conservation Area Project, in north-eastern Upolu. The primary objective of the PPD is to lay out the design for a project that conserves the unique biodiversity of the Uafato area. A secondary objective is to assist Uafato villagers to develop regimes for the sustainable management of local resources, especially the resources potentially threatened by over-utilisation, such as the forest timber resources.
