Tuvalu National Environment Management Strategy (NEMS)

Abstract

The consultation process is vital to the development of any management strategy where implementation is dependent on the action of individuals and communities. The process to de- velop this strategy has been one of consultation and consensus-seeking: it involved a number of steps including reviews of environmental education and legislation in Tuvalu, and the conduct of national seminars (which involved non-governmental organisations, church groups, and other community leaders).
