Research of Aspirations and perceptions: Natural Resource Management in Solomon Islands

Abstract

This RAP aimed to understand how communities in the Solomon Islands perceive issues with natural resource management, with the ultimate goal to promote more inclusive and sustainable means of managing resources. It was conducted in 2009 in the Western, Makira, Renbel and Isabel provinces. It was used to guide the design of Live and Learn and the International Women’s Development Agency’s (IWDA) collaborative project, which aimed to support sustainable livelihoods.
