Potential of Afulilo reservoir for fish stocking

Abstract

In an effort to lessen pressure on the natural reef fishery resources, Fisheries Division has an aquaculture programme assessing the potential of inland fish farming. Since reservoirs for electricity offers opportunity for fish stocking which can serve as a potential source of protein for local population, the construction of the Afulilo Reservoir was seen as offering a possibility for fish production.
