Abstract
The British Overseas Development Administration works within 120 countries with a 1.4million budget. It is their initiative to protect the environment and provide assistance leading to self reliance. This film is about the environmental work of ODA. A case study of Kenya in the districts of Meru and Embu is provided which addresses deforestation, and the technical advise it provides to complement local ideas and participation. Within the Pacific Islands, ODA provided assistance through the International Giant Clam Culture Project to the Solomon Islands where it provided staff to manage and assist local participation.
