Abstract
This 23 page brochure provides an overview of the programme for the 1st Pacific Youth Festival hosted in Tahiti in 2006. The Union Polynésienne pour la Jeunesse, recognising the financial difficulties that saw very small representation at the Global youth forum decided to organize the 1st Festival for the Pacific. With the support of the Government of French Polynesia and with the Pacific Community (SPC) as part of the organising committee it was decided that an event will be held every three years in a different Pacific territory or country.
