Forum Economic Ministers Meeting : report on country level consultations on business competitiveness ; session 2 background paper held in Nadi, Fiji on 7-8 July 1998.

This paper presents and discusses the results of a survey on the extent to which some Forum govenments have sonsulted with the private sector on the constraints affecting business ability to compete in the global market place. The paper recommends actions designed to enhance private sector competitiveness. Recommendations are also made on the ways in which consultations between governments and the private sector can be improved.
