Education for Sustainable Development - Teacher Training Manual

Abstract

The notion sustainability has become central in approaches to development; indeed, sustainable development is the only way that societies can improve living standards while ensuring that the environment is protected and that the prospects for future generations are not jeopardised. This manual was designed to be used in teacher training, with the aim of improving teachers' knowledge of sustainability and equip them with skills to teach students about sustainbility.
