Abstract
The purpose of this Guidebook is to increase awareness and understanding by the general public, particularly resource users in Samoa, of environmental laws. Of particular importance are the laws affecting Samoas native biodiversity and natural resources. There are a number of environmental laws in Samoa and the general public is often unaware of them. As a general theme the laws focus on resource management and sustainability and cover the responsibilities of government and other stakeholders including the general public in ensuring that Samoas natural resources are managed in a sustainable manner.
