Abstract
This is a two and a half hour film on three separate programs with the Environment as the central theme. "Can Polar Bears Tread Water"; addresses concerns on sea level rise and flooding predicted to affect low lying areas such as Amsterdam and Miami. There is also footage of the 1988 Bangladesh flooding. "Ozone : Save our Skies"; outlines international agreements established to protect the Ozone layer such as the Montreal Protocol and the UNEP Ozone Conference in Helsinki. A television programme "Beyond 2000" featured Haans Island in Papua New Guinea as probably being the first Greenhouse refugees. Much of their shore line has been inundated pushing people further inland and others evacuated.
