Subject Heading(s)
The suborder Labroidei is a diverse group of shallow water, largely tropical fishes which includes the wrasses (Laridae) and parrot fishes (Scaridae). Knowledge of the reproductive biology of these two families has greatly increased in the past ten years, but relatively little has been published concerning reproduction of the extremely tropical Indo-west Pacific species.
