Agroforestry in Africa : A survey of project experience

A great deal has been written about the potential for agroforestry. Examples of traditional agroforestry systems provide impressive demonstration of how trees can be used on farms in highly productive and benefical ways. Research trials with new agroforestry techniques and species combinations have also yielded encouraging results. On the strength of this, and amid high hopes, agroforestry projects have been started in many countries.
