An account of high level summary of Key Results 2023-2024

The Green Livelihoods project is being led by Samoa Conservation Society (SCS) with funding from the Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP). It has two objectives that are closely related to Samoa: 1. to raise awareness amongst youths of Samoa's environment of the range of threats facing it and how to manage these environmental threat. 2. to promote and demonstrate Green livelihood options amongst youth

The Fourth Executive Board Meeting was held in hybrid format from 4 to 6 September 2024.

SPREP seeks collaboration with like-minded partners and financiers including philanthropies; the Private Sector; and academic institutions to drive nature conservation and sustainability in our island communities.

An account of high level summary of Key Results 2022-2023

The “Rules of Procedure of the SPREP Meeting” (Rules 8.1 and 8.2), provides that where the Meeting is hosted by the Secretariat, the Chair and Vice Chair shall rotate alphabetically, and where the Meeting is not hosted by the Secretariat, the Chair shall be provided by the host country. The 31st SPREP Meeting was hosted by the Secretariat.

The Director General of SPREP reflected upon the role of the Convention in addressing growing environmental challenges and stressing the relevance of the Noumea Convention in helping to meet these, thanking all Parties for their engagement in the Meeting. It was acknowledged that 2023 marks the 30th Anniversary of the signing of the SPREP Treaty and that this was the first in person Ordinary Meeting of the Noumea Convention since COVID-19.

La Trentième Conférence des représentants et représentantes du PROE s'est tenue virtuellement du 7 au 9 septembre 2021. Elle a été suivie par le dialogue ministériel de haut niveau de Talanoa, le 10 septembre 2021.

The Thirtieth SPREP Meeting (30SM) of Officials was held virtually from 7 – 9 September 2021. This was followed by the Ministerial High Level Talanoa on the 10th September 2021.
