The contribution of PACRES to Karama will enhance the already existing knowledge in the community in terms of mangrove rehabilitation and provide alternative options for water and food security and enable disaster preparedness for the community. PACRES will also fund additional Vulnerability Needs Assessments for a number of other coastal communities in Gulf Province in 2022-23

The 2021 Pacific Resilience Meeting (PRM) was held between 6 and 8 July 2021, with a pre-PRM youth forum on 5 July. The meeting was both virtual with national hubs with PACRES the main funding partner

PACRES continues to support scaling up the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in the Pacific by strengthening the delivery of the Resilience Qualification by the TVET institutions. One of the approaches employed is the provision of tools and equipment to institutions offering these qualifications. This includes computers, GPS and soil sampling kits by way of examples.
