Palolo Deep:(Natural History): Corythoichthys schulzti

Known as Schultz's pipefish and relatives of the sea-horses. Found from Red Sea to Society Islands. Maximum size about 16cm. Males carry eggs until hatched.

Known as the 'Slipper' of 'Spanish lobster'. Large and slow moving. Feed at night on the coral reef sometimes preying on giant clams.

Known as Heidi's Zoanthid. Found in rocky habitats from 5-10mm. Mostly colonial with polyps not so sensitive to touch. Colour ranges from green to brown.
